Goa, May 23 -- Israeli diplomatic missions across the United States have increased security measures and lowered flags to half-staff in response to a deadly shooting outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday night.

Elias Rodriguez, a 31-year-old man, has been charged with the murder of two embassy staff members in what authorities are investigating as a hate crime. According to law enforcement, Rodriguez shouted pro-Palestinian slogans, including "Free Palestine," during his arrest and claimed he acted "for Gaza and Palestine."
