Goa, April 19 -- Although things didn't go well for RCB against PBKS as they lost by 5 wickets, it was a memorable day for skipper Rajat Patidar, who achieved a major milestone. Patidar broke Sachin Tendulkar's IPL record by becoming the second-fastest Indian to reach 1000 IPL runs, achieving the feat in just 30 innings during the match against PBKS.
This surpasses both Tendulkar and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who took 31 innings to reach the same mark. Only Gujarat Titans' Sai Sudharsan has reached 1000 runs faster, doing so in just 25 innings.
