Goa, May 8 -- In response to persistent concerns from residents, the Railways have constructed a retaining wall at Hollant, a move prompted by community pressure conveyed through the Velsao panchayat.

The decision followed a meeting involving local social worker Roquezinho D'Souza, Cortalim MLA Anton Vas, and Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant. Taking note of the issue, the Chief Minister directed railway authorities to take immediate action, leading to the construction of the wall aimed at preventing erosion and improving safety.
