Goa, Oct. 10 -- India will reopen its embassy in Kabul, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar told Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi on Friday during his visit to New Delhi. Calling it an important step in advancing India-Afghanistan ties, Jaishankar reaffirmed India's support for Afghanistan's sovereignty and development.He announced gifts of 20 ambulances, MRI and CT scan machines, vaccines, and food aid, saying India remains a steadfast partner in Afghan reconstruction. Muttaqi, visiting India after UNSC approval, will travel to Agra and Deoband next. This marks the first visit by a Taliban foreign minister to India since 2021.
