Goa, Dec. 6 -- India and Russia on Friday agreed to expand joint manufacturing of spare parts, components and aggregates for Russian-origin defence platforms, reinforcing the Make-in-India push for the Armed Forces and enabling exports to "mutually friendly" nations.
The announcement followed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with President Vladimir Putin, outlined in a joint statement after the summit. Both sides committed to technology transfer and forming joint ventures to strengthen availability and long-term support for Russian equipment.
