Goa, May 31 -- India has recorded a total of 2,710 active COVID-19 cases, with Kerala leading the tally at 1,147 cases, according to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry.
Maharashtra follows with 424 active cases, while the national capital, Delhi, has reported 294 ongoing infections. Other states witnessing a rise include Gujarat with 223 cases, and both Karnataka and Tamil Nadu with 148 cases each.
Health authorities are closely monitoring the situation amid the gradual increase in cases in some states. While the overall numbers remain relatively low, experts continue to urge caution and adherence to preventive measures, especially in high-risk regions.
