Goa, Nov. 12 -- India on Monday repatriated a second batch of 197 citizens from Thailand, days after they escaped from a notorious cyber scam centre in Myanmar's Myawaddy region and crossed over into the Thai border town of Mae Sot.
The returnees were flown back to India on two special Indian Air Force aircraft, the Indian Embassy in Bangkok confirmed. This follows the first batch of 270 Indians repatriated from Thailand last Thursday.
The rescued Indians were among 1,500 people from 28 countries who fled Myanmar late last month after Thai and Myanmar authorities raided the KK Park cybercrime hub, a major centre for human trafficking and online fraud operations.
