Goa, Dec. 8 -- India has inaugurated a new consulate building in Shanghai, marking its first move in 32 years and signalling stronger economic and people-to-people engagement with China. The new premises, located in the Dawning Centre in Changning district, were inaugurated by India's Ambassador to China, Pradeep Kumar Rawat, and Consul General Pratik Mathur. The larger, modern facility is expected to enhance consular services and strengthen India's presence in the region, reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of inclusive development.
