Goa, May 9 -- India has accused Pakistan of launching coordinated drone and missile attacks on three of its military bases, escalating already tense relations between the two nuclear-armed neighbors. According to Indian military officials, the attacks targeted bases in Jammu and Udhampur in Indian-administered Kashmir, as well as in Pathankot, located in the northern state of Punjab.
The Indian Army stated it successfully foiled the alleged attacks, which occurred late Wednesday night and into Thursday. While explosions were reported in Jammu city Thursday evening, resulting in a temporary blackout, no major damage or casualties have been reported so far.
