Goa, May 21 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red Alert for Goa, forecasting light to moderate rainfall and strong winds in both North and South Goa. The alert warns that wind speeds are likely to range between 30-40 km/h, with gusts potentially reaching 50 km/h in the coming 1 to 3 hours. These weather conditions could result in waterlogging in low-lying areas, slippery road surfaces, and temporary traffic disruptions.
In light of this, the IMD has advised residents to remain vigilant, limit unnecessary travel, and secure outdoor items that may be easily blown away by the gusty winds.
