Goa, Sept. 5 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued an orange alert for parts of Delhi and the adjoining National Capital Region (NCR) until 6 pm, as the Capital continues to experience heavy rainfall.

Recent downpours have caused the Yamuna River to breach the 207-metre danger mark for the fifth time since 1963, raising concerns about potential flooding in low-lying areas. The IMD had earlier predicted more rain across Delhi-NCR throughout the day.

The weather department also forecasted that Delhi's minimum temperature is likely to settle at 24degC, while the maximum is expected to reach around 33degC. Residents are advised to stay alert and take precautions amid the continuing wet conditions.
