Goa, April 1 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a summer forecast predicting above-normal temperatures across most of the country from April to June. The forecast highlights the possibility of prolonged heatwave episodes, especially in central and eastern India, with heatwaves lasting 10-11 days in states like Odisha, Jharkhand, and eastern Uttar Pradesh.
According to the IMD's all-India summer outlook, temperatures are expected to be higher than usual in most parts of the country, with exceptions in the western peninsular region, as well as some areas in east-central and eastern India.
