Samah Sardessai, a Class 11 student of Sharada Mandir School, never imagined that she would one day sing, let alone compose her own original song. She had no musical background, had never trained as a singer, and had only recently begun guitar lessons. But a mass communication assignment, given by her teacher, changed her creative life. "A few years ago, I tried singing classes for about a year, but it was not right for me because it was very advanced. I was barely able to get my notes right and so I left very quickly.
