India, Jan. 14 -- MLA Krishna Salkar on Tuesday raised concerns over the frequent digging of newly hot-mixed roads, questioning the lack of coordination and accountability among departments involved in such works.

Responding to the issue, Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Digambar Kamat assured the House that strict responsibility would be fixed on departments carrying out road digging. He stated that any department involved in excavating roads would be held accountable for repairing and maintaining the damaged stretch until the PWD undertakes hot-mixing.
