Goa, April 8 -- In Varanasi, a Class 12 student has reported that she was gang-raped by more than 20 men between March 29 and April 4. The young woman, who is preparing for admission into a sports program, was reportedly missing since March 29. A friend had taken her to a hookah bar located in the Pishachmochan area, where the alleged incident began.

According to police reports, the girl stated that she was served a drugged cold drink at the hookah bar, after which multiple men transported her to various hotels in the Sigra area of the city and sexually assaulted her. Some of the alleged perpetrators were familiar to her, being former classmates or individuals she had met through social media.
