Goa, July 4 -- Continuous rainfall in Himachal Pradesh has claimed 37 lives and caused widespread destruction across the state, according to the Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority. Officials estimate that property worth over Rs.400 crore has been damaged as relentless downpours trigger landslides, road blockages, and flooding.
Authorities warned that the death toll could rise further as rescue operations continue in several districts.
