Goa, Nov. 17 -- The Bombay High Court at Goa has issued a notice to the state government after hearing three Public Interest Litigations filed by well-known social activist Kashinath Shetye. The PILs question the regularisation of unauthorised structures constructed on communidade and government land across the state. The court has directed the authorities to file their replies by 3 February next year, setting a clear deadline for the government to clarify its position. The issue first reached the court in 2016, when Shetye filed the initial PIL highlighting alleged irregularities in land management.
