Goa, March 19 -- The High Court has directed the concerned Deputy Collector to halt all business activities at 67 establishments in Agonda within 24 hours. This order comes in response to concerns that these establishments are operating in a protected turtle nesting site.

The court emphasized the need to preserve the ecological integrity of the beach, which serves as a critical habitat for turtle nesting. The establishments must cease operations to ensure the protection of wildlife and the environment, following regulations designed to safeguard these sensitive areas.
