Goa, Jan. 7 -- The High Court has issued notices to the Goa government in connection with the anticipatory bail applications filed by the disqualified Sarpanch of VP Arpora-Nagoa, Roshan Redkar, and dismissed Panchayat Secretary, Raghuvir Bagkar, in the Birch fire case.

The matter came up for hearing this week, following which the court sought the state's response before proceeding further. The hearing has now been adjourned to Friday.

Both applicants are seeking protection from arrest while the investigation into the case continues.
