Goa, May 23 -- Following a Herald News report highlighting the persistent water blockage in front of the Bank of India at the Quepem market, the Quepem Municipal Council has finally taken action. Vice Chairperson Amol Kanekar initiated immediate measures, including gutter cleaning and paver repair work at the troubled site.
The issue had been repeatedly flagged to the Public Works Department (PWD) of Quepem, but no corrective steps were taken until the matter gained media attention. Stagnant water had been causing inconvenience to pedestrians and raised hygiene concerns in the busy market area.
