Goa, May 30 -- Following persistent complaints from vendors and shoppers about clogged drains and foul odours at the iconic Gandhi Market in Margao, the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) has finally taken action.

In response to a recent Herald report spotlighting the market's worsening sanitation and waterlogging issues, MMC sanitation workers launched a dedicated clean-up drive this week.
