Goa, Oct. 31 -- Days after the Chief Officer reprimanded the garbage contractor for poor cleanliness in the town, the Urban Health Centre, Mapusa, has issued a final notice to the municipal body. The notice directs the Chief Officer to clean and restore hygiene at the Mapusa fish and meat market within seven days, failing which the premises will be sealed indefinitely.
The Urban Health Officer's notice highlights serious negligence and administrative lapses by the municipal council, which has repeatedly ignored instructions to maintain sanitary conditions.
