Goa, April 23 -- In a catastrophic incident, a short circuit occurred in a transformer at Porvorim Chogam Road. The electricity department immediately reached the spot and repaired the transformer. Concerned locals raised questions over the haphazard works done by the department, with wires dangling outside the transformer.

On Monday late at night, due to a short circuit, a transformer near Porvorim Chogam Road caught fire and all the wires were damaged extensively. The incident happened on Monday late night at around 9.30 p.m. A local who witnessed this incident live recorded the entire incident showing the intensity of the fire.
