Goa, July 10 -- The High Court has issued a firm directive, granting a final six-week extension to all Panchayats and Municipalities for submitting their compliance reports on actions taken against illegal constructions. Advocate General Devidas Pangam, representing the state, stated that the court has made it absolutely clear-this is the last opportunity for local bodies to fulfill their legal obligations.

The court emphasized that no further extensions will be granted. Local bodies must use this period to compile and submit comprehensive reports detailing the steps taken to identify, address, and prevent unauthorized constructions within their respective jurisdictions.
