Goa, Nov. 7 -- A 57-year-old Haryana Police sub-inspector, Ramesh Kumar, was brutally beaten to death after confronting a group causing chaos outside his home in the Dhani Shyam Lal area. The incident occurred around 11 pm on Thursday. According to Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar Sawan, the group initially left after being scolded but returned armed with bricks and sticks, fatally assaulting Kumar. Police have booked 10 individuals and arrested five so far. A car and scooter used in the crime were also seized. Kumar, who served at the office of the Additional Director General of Police, was due to retire in January. He is survived by two daughters and a son.
