Goa, Nov. 16 -- A habitual PIL filer has been booked by Calangute Police Station for criminal intimidation under Section 351 of the BNS. According to Calangute Village Panchayat member Swapnesh Vaigankar, the accused repeatedly threatened people from Ward 9, claiming he would file baseless complaints and PILs to extort money. The non-cognizable case is based on an audio clip circulating online, in which the accused can be heard using offensive and abusive language against the complainant. Vaigankar added that the accused had made the complainant his primary target and tried to intimidate not only him but other family members as well.
