Goa, Oct. 12 -- In a worrying incident highlighting concerns over school infrastructure, the roof of the Government Primary School at Thane-Sattari was ripped off by strong winds on Saturday evening. The incident occurred around 5.30 pm, after school hours, ensuring that no students or staff were harmed.

Various parts of Sattari taluka experienced gusty winds on Saturday, causing significant damage in several locations. The roof at the Thane school was blown away, falling near the building and allowing rainwater to enter classrooms, damaging school property.
