Goa, July 29 -- A lone gunman opened fire at a Midtown Manhattan high-rise on Monday evening, injuring an NYPD officer and at least two civilians before taking his own life, police said.
The shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. at 345 Park Avenue, home to several prominent offices including Blackstone and the NFL's headquarters. The suspect, who reportedly entered the building carrying a long gun and wearing dark sunglasses and a jacket, made his way to the 33rd floor, where he died by suicide, according to law enforcement sources.
