Goa, Dec. 31 -- The Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has suspended two of its staff members for allegedly failing to conduct a proper inspection at the Birch by Romeo Lane establishment in Arpora.
Those suspended include Scientific Assistant Chaitanya Salgaonkar and Junior Environmental Engineer Vijay Harischandra Kansekar. According to officials, the action follows findings that the inspection carried out by the duo did not meet required procedural and reporting standards.
The Board has initiated further inquiry into the matter to determine the extent of negligence and ensure accountability within its inspection processes.
