Goa, Sept. 1 -- Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president Amit Patkar has lashed out at the BJP over the controversial railway double tracking project, questioning the government's credibility on its purpose.
Patkar recalled remarks by late Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who had allegedly stated that the project was being pushed "purely for coal" and involved bribes from two companies. He demanded clarity from Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, asking: "Who is lying - you or Parrikar?"
The GPCC chief also urged Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to come clean and reveal the names of the companies allegedly involved in the double tracking push.
