PANJIM, June 1 -- With the recent influx of visitors to Goa via various modes of transportation, the State government is contemplating to restart the previous system of issuing travel passes that require approval by District Authorities.

Goa reported nearly 60 COVID-19 cases, all of persons who had travelled from red zones, more specifically Maharashtra.

"It is imperative that we restart the permit system to keep a record of the number of people entering the State," Health Minister Vishwajit Rane tweeted.
