Goa, Nov. 25 -- In a landmark labour reform initiative, the Government of India has consolidated 29 existing labour laws into four comprehensive Labour Codes aimed at simplifying compliance, modernizing outdated regulations, and strengthening the rights and welfare of workers. The four codes-Code on Wages (2019), Industrial Relations Code (2020), Code on Social Security (2020), and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code (2020)-mark one of the most significant overhauls of India's labour framework in decades.
