Goa, Dec. 10 -- In a significant move to stabilise air travel disruptions, the Union government has directed IndiGo, the country's largest airline, to reduce its operations by 10% following a wave of over 2,000 flight cancellations in recent days. The decision comes even as IndiGo maintained that its services had largely returned to normal.

IndiGo currently operates approximately 2,200 flights daily, meaning the mandated reduction will lead to the cancellation of more than 200 additional flights. Officials said the step is aimed at restoring operational stability and preventing further inconvenience to passengers.
