Gomanchal Warriors emerged champions in the 3rd GVCA veterans league cricket tournament organised by the Goa Veterans Cricket Association for the second consecutive year played under floodlights at the Goa Cricket Association ground, here, on Monday. In a low-scoring final that kept spectators on the edge of their seats, Gomanchal Warriors successfully defended a modest total of 70 runs, bowling out Vasco Warriors for just 61 runs in 17 overs to seal a thrilling 9-run victory.
