Goa, Sept. 12 -- A case of chain snatching has been reported in Raia, leaving residents on edge as police investigate the matter. According to information, an unidentified man trespassed into a private property in the village and targeted a woman present there. The accused allegedly snatched her gold chain weighing around 20 grams and valued at approximately Rs 1 lakh before fleeing from the spot.

The shocking incident has raised concerns as it was not a typical street snatching but occurred within the premises of a residence, making it all the more alarming for locals. The woman, who was caught unawares, reported the theft to the police immediately after the chain was taken.
