Goa, May 14 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Goa, effective until May 17, warning of rainfall and thunderstorms across the region. Residents can expect light to moderate rain, with isolated heavy showers, thunder, lightning, and gusty winds reaching up to 50 km/h as the southwest monsoon advances into southern India and the Bay of Bengal. The IMD has advised the public to remain vigilant, especially in areas prone to waterlogging, and to avoid staying in vulnerable structures during adverse weather conditions.
