Goa, May 5 -- A six-year-old girl, Zoya Hussain, lost her life in a tragic drowning incident at Baga Beach, Goa, on Sunday evening. Zoya, who was visiting from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, had been playing near the water with her 10-year-old brother when she slipped from his grasp and was pulled in by a strong current. The children's caretaker was reportedly distracted by a phone call at the time. The incident took place around 8:10 pm, and tourist police on patrol were quickly alerted. Lifeguards, the fire department, and local police soon joined the search operation.
