India, Feb. 16 -- Goa has emerged as the top-performing State in the country in the implementation of the new criminal law codes, popularly known as the Nyay Samhitas, securing first rank among all States and Union Territories in the February 2026 national assessment conducted by the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D).

According to Director General of Police (DGP) Goa, the State scored an impressive 83.10 per cent overall, reflecting strong progress across key parameters laid down by the central agency. Notably, Goa achieved full marks in the categories of Administrative Reforms and System Integration, highlighting the State's commitment to structural improvements and seamless coordination among departments.
