Goa, July 25 -- The current state of train connectivity between Goa and Vailankanni remains limited, echoing concerns recently voiced in the Goa Assembly. At present, only one regular weekly train-the Velankanni Express (Train No. 17315)-operates from Madgaon, departing around 9:35 AM and taking nearly 27 hours to reach Vailankanni. This infrequent service results in quick ticket sellouts and significant inconvenience for pilgrims, as highlighted by Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco and Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar during the Assembly discussions.
