Goa, April 9 -- In a major push towards promoting electric vehicles (EVs) and sustainability, the Government of Goa has partnered with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to establish a network of EV charging stations and advanced battery swapping facilities across the state. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced that these stations will be set up in key cities such as Panjim, Mapusa, Margao, and Vasco.
Under the initiative, IOCL will be responsible for setting up and maintaining EV charging stations, as well as advanced battery swapping stations. In addition to this, the company will also provide essential amenities such as toilets, changing rooms, and fuel stations, all at no cost to the state.
