Goa, June 5 -- In a bold step toward sustainable urban development, the Goa government will soon mandate the Vertical Forest concept for all buildings with a Floor Space Index (FSI) above 250-300. This landmark policy, spearheaded by the Urban Development, Town & Country Planning, and Forest Departments, aims to boost urban greenery and promote eco-friendly construction in high-density areas.
According to Town & Country Planning Minister Vishwajit Rane, Occupancy Certificates will be issued only if developers fully comply with the Vertical Forest guidelines, which are expected to be notified officially soon.
