Goa, June 9 -- The Goa Tourism Department will soon host a series of international roadshows across the Gulf region, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Poland, and Uzbekistan to boost the state's appeal as a prime tourist destination. The move is based on social media trends and recent visitor statistics.
With a tentative budget of Rs 4.3 crore, the department plans to appoint an event management agency to organize these global events. The roadshows aim to attract international tourists, including first-time travelers, with a focus on wellness, leisure, MICE, and medical tourism.
Though dates are yet to be announced, officials believe the initiative will significantly promote Goa's tourism offerings and increase global tourist footfall....
