Goa, Jan. 3 -- The Goa government is set to begin a comprehensive digital land survey this month to update urban land records and issue Urban Property Cards (UrPro), marking the first such exercise since the initial survey carried out in 1972.
The project will be launched in Panjim, Margao and Cuncolim, along with their surrounding areas, and will be conducted using advanced digital mapping tools. With the survey of government-owned land now completed, the focus will shift to documenting private properties.
Once the mapping is finished, draft property cards will be put on public display for 30 days, giving landowners the opportunity to verify details and file objections before the records are formally finalized.
