Goa, June 3 -- In a progressive move toward inclusive welfare, the Goa government has announced plans to construct permanent hostel facilities for persons with intellectual disabilities in both North and South Goa districts over the next four to five years. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday.

The hostels will cater to individuals with intellectual disabilities who are above the age of 18 and will be provided free of charge, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for adult PwDs (Persons with Disabilities).
