Goa, Feb. 26 -- Starting March 1, 2025, the Goa Traffic Cell will implement a significant change in the way compounding challans under the Motor Vehicle Act (MVA) and related rules are paid. As part of an effort to promote digital payments and streamline the payment process, cash payments will no longer be accepted for the settlement of uncompounded challans.
This move is aimed at encouraging a more efficient and transparent payment system, reducing the risks associated with handling cash, and making it easier for individuals to pay fines electronically.
