Goa, Sept. 17 -- Anjuna Police have arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly attempting to mur der a tourist from Telangana in a shocking early-morning attack at Chapora, Bardez. According to police, the ac cused, Sahil Hasan Bapu, a local businessman, alleged ly struck 27-year-old Mothe Sairam - also a businessman from Balaji Nagar, Surya Peth, Telangana - on the head with a sharp weapon around 6:30 am near Avatara Bar and Res taurant. The attack, reported ly carried out with intent to kill, left the victim with severe bleeding injuries.

The victim's friend, Mo hammed Noorudhe EN Mulla (24), a resident of Yelahanka, North Bangalore, lodged the complaint that led to the ar rest. Sairam was rushed to Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC)...
