Goa, May 23 -- Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has unveiled a transformative infrastructure plan: a Rs.15,000 crore ring road connecting Maharashtra to Karnataka along Goa's outer edge. This project aims to divert heavy vehicular traffic away from Goa's national highways, easing congestion and protecting the state's tourism-driven charm. Stretching from Patradevi on the Maharashtra-Goa border to the Karnataka border, the ring road is set to be developed through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. Gadkari stated that the initiative follows proposals from Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Union Minister Shripad Naik, and he urged the Goa government to finalize the project alignment swiftly.
