Goa, Jan. 12 -- Goa has achieved a significant milestone in preserving its rich agricultural heritage with the registration of five new Geographical Indication (GI) tags, Governor Pusapati Ashok Gajapati Raju announced on Monday.

The newly registered GI products include Taleigao Vayingim, Goa Hilarious Mango, Goa Korgut Rice, Goa Kaju Apple, and Goa Mussarad Mango. The Governor said that these GI tags will play a crucial role in conserving Goa's unique agricultural varieties while also enhancing their recognition in national and international markets.
