Goa, April 14 -- On the occasion of National Fire Service Day 2025, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant lauded the efforts of Goa Fire & Emergency Services (FES), revealing that the department has saved property worth over Rs.44 crore and 398 lives in the past year.
Addressing personnel and officials at the commemorative event, CM Sawant also announced that Goa is the first state in India to have established 11 fully operational cyclone shelters, significantly enhancing the state's disaster preparedness.
