Goa, Oct. 9 -- Determination can make even the sky seem within reach - and Goa's youngest pilot, Capt. Vashon Jovio Goes, has proved it. At just 19, this young aviator from Quepem has accomplished what many aspire to for years, earning his pilot's wings and inspiring countless Goan youth along the way.
Born into a humble, middle-class family - his mother a teacher and his father a chef - Vashon's story is one of grit, discipline, and unyielding ambition. His fascination with flying began in childhood. Each time an aircraft soared overhead, he would gaze up, imagining what it felt like to be inside the cockpit.
